Are you looking for a new curio cabinet to go in your living room or family room? There are so many to choose from and pick the perfect cabinet does non have to be a chore. It should be a fun experience. There are a few things to think about before making that purchase.

What ar you going to display?

Everyone has family pictures that they would love to display and putting them in a keepsake cabinet is a great way to grab someones attention. Perhaps you have some trophies that you want to show off or just a collection of knick knacks. It could be a compounding of all of these items.

Once you know what you want to display, then the fun parts begins. Time to choose the perfect cabinet. I prefer glass curio cabinets over a solid wood construction and here’s why.

A solid wood cabinet is nice and it has it’s right place but the whole point of a cabinet is to display something that you think is important and how can anyone see your items when they ar plugged from view? A glass curio cabinet allows you and your guests to view your precious china or family pictures from any angle in the room. You do want to create a focal point for these items and obscuring them with wood does not do the job. Another reason I prefer glass curio cabinets is some of them have mirrored backs. This only aides in creating that focal point. Some of them have reinforced in lighting that illuminates your trophies or family photos at any time!
